Contact Lens Lab:

The 3-D Wave also provides maps which can be emailed to any contact lens lab to have lenses produced. Emailing a map along with the patient's final manifest refraction and any pathology will save on chair and fitting time. The patient is simply measured on the 3-D Wave™, refracted and the results emailed to the lab. In a couple of days you will receive the lens.

Contact Lens Fit:

An over-refraction can be performed on the patient to assess fit and correction. Viewing the Wavefront Total map next to the Wavefront HO map will show you where you currently have the patient corrected and their potential correction if all low order has been corrected. If the WF Total and WF HO maps are identical you have done all you can do for this patient and there is no need to spend additional time trying to improve the fit. The patient has high order aberrations that can not be corrected with low order lenses.
